Born in Tahiti, I completed most of my schooling in Papara before continuing my studies in
Punaauia and later in Papeete. From an early age, my adoptive mother encouraged me to
take an interest in and become actively involved in Polynesian culture. This led me to
participate as a dancer in four editions of the Heiva, to sing once as part of a himene group,
to take part in several gatherings organized by the Haururu association, as well as in the
Pinainai, an event dedicated to promoting the works of Oceanian authors.
After completing a specialized training program, I worked in several renowned hotels in
Tahiti and Bora Bora, allowing me to develop solid professional experience.
These particularly enriching experiences confirmed my strong interest in this field. After a
period outside the tourism industry, I chose to return to it in 2022, driven by the same
passion that inspired me at the very beginning of my career.
Your ideal stay in French Polynesia?
Treat yourself to an off-the-beaten-path journey, designed as a true immersion into the
heart of Polynesia. The adventure begins with one night in Tahiti, the perfect way to gently
recover from the long journey to paradise.
The journey continues with four nights on Mataiva, a preserved island seemingly untouched
by time. Fully hosted by a local guesthouse, you will discover island life through a boat tour
around the island, traditional craft activities, lagoon fishing, and swimming in exceptionally
pure, crystal-clear waters.
After returning to Tahiti for a short stopover, take the time to absorb this first immersion
before heading to Maupiti for four nights. Often described as Bora Bora’s little sister, the
island has retained its old-world charm: a cycling tour around the island, a hike up Mount
Teurafaatiu offering breathtaking panoramic views, and the sharing of a traditional mā’a
Tahiti with hosts and visitors alike in a uniquely convivial atmosphere.
The escape then continues to the Tuamotu Archipelago, with four nights in Manihi. A true
natural gem, its lagoon is filled with wonders: snorkeling, a visit to a pearl farm, a picnic on a
motu, and discovering the village of Turipaoa will set the rhythm of your stay.
Finally, the journey comes to an end with three nights in Tahiti, the largest island in French
Polynesia. Between spectacular hikes through lush valleys or along the peninsula,
discovering the geological origins of the archipelago, visiting the Museum of Tahiti and the
Islands in Punaa uia, and strolling through the Papeete market, Tahiti reveals the full
richness of its culture and identity.
Your favorite place in French Polynesia?
In the mountains, I reconnect with what truly matters and with nature, reminding myself
each time of how fortunate I am to live here.
Your favorite restaurant?
As a true food lover, choosing just one favorite place is difficult. However, for a touch of
originality, I would mention Maui Beach in Taiarapu: feet in the sand facing the ocean,
generous cuisine, an ice-cold coconut water… pure happiness.
