The atoll of Fakarava is known as one of the best diving sites in the world thanks to its exceptional underwater fauna. Fakarava was classified by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve in 2006. The two passes of the atoll offer a number of beautiful spots for all divers, regardless their experience and certification.
Fakarava south is a better site for beginners while Fakarava North is frequently visited by experienced divers. Both will give you a rare occasion to enjoy a very rich underwater world: manta rays, barracudas, grey reef sharks, spotted eagle rays, great hammerheads, dolphins…
