On weekends, Emmanuel sets sail, literally, since he’s the proud co-owner of a small sailboat named Avalon. A bit predictable, you might say, he’s chosen to explore the Windward Islands by sea. We’ll admit, though, that for those with a good sea leg, there’s a certain charm in the Raromatai’s silhouette unfolding against the morning sky...

Your Soft spot
The Robinson and Crusoe bungalows at Pension Raimiti live up to their name... And that’s exactly the kind of escape Emmanuel seeks when he flies to Fakarava: pristine beaches, genuine local life, fresh fish, and a coral reef just steps away. Did you know Emmanuel loves the stars ? Really…? And yet, he never stops reminding us. As any self-respecting amateur astronomer would, he highly recommends downloading an app to explore the night sky. Find a quiet spot in our islands, far from light pollution, on a moonless night, and enjoy the show. Take the opportunity to learn the names of the constellations in Tahitian…

A trail running enthusiast, finisher of the X-Terra 21km and the Transtahitienne 36km, Emmanuel collects kudos and medals. So the Col des 3 Pinus nearby… no challenge for him. If it sparks ideas for you and creates some beautiful memories, even better! For those less inclined to sweat, you can always just enjoy the pineapple fields—it’s just as rewarding…
