Where is the Tautiare Village located?

 Located on the South West coast of the island, the Tautiare Village nestled by the sea and surrounded by a large garden. Not far from there, the public beach Tere’ia is easily accessible by foot or by bicycle. Also located nearby the village, the guesthouse allows you to discover the real Maupiti island: its harbor, churches, shops and snacks.

Why should you choose the Tautiare Village?

This guesthouse does not have a beach, a long pontoon allows you to swim in the blue lagoon. The deep waters are home to various species of fish; the place is ideal for snorkeling. At the end of the pontoon, the sunset is gorgeous (especially from December to March). As far as the accommodation goes, the guesthouse offers comfortable room inside a large house surrounded by a great garden. The meals are served on a large host table, where traditional dishes, catch of the day and local products are mingled. It is possible to rent bikes for the whole day, organize a boat trip, a diving session or a hike with a tour guide (storyteller of the island). You can also could go on an adventure on your own to discover the treasures of Maupiti. An authentic stay in a warm atmosphere… this is what awaits you at the Tautiare Village.

*Please note that there is no bank, cashpoint and very few local shops on the beautiful Maupiti island.

​Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room and enjoyed with the hosts. The menus are simply composed to favour the preparation of traditional food with fresh fish.
